A Draft Spatial Plan for Wellington City

The Council wants to hear how well the Draft Spatial Plan meets the goals of ensuring a compact, resilient, vibrant and prosperous, inclusive and connected, and greener Wellington city.

They are seeking your feedback on the Our City Tomorrow (the Draft Spatial Plan) over the next few weeks and will be accepting submission until Monday 5 October 2020 at 5pm.

What is anticipated in Hataitai? (Click Eastern Suburbs, then Hataitai)

  • Mixed use and apartment buildings (type 4): 6 storeys in the Hataitai commercial centre.

  • Medium density housing (type 3): 3-4 storey small apartment buildings adjacent to the Hataitai commercial centre and along Moxham Avenue.

  • Medium density housing (type 2): 2-3 storey terrace type housing within convenient walking distance to good public transport links.
