Keen to get your garden going? Come along to Hātaitai Swaps!
This meet up will focus on all your seeds and left over potting trays, potting mix or other bits in preparation for the spring planting season!
Don’t know when or how best to sow your seeds? We can show you and get you going!
As always there will be some hot tea and coffee, maybe even some home baking too!
Based on a Crop Swap these events aim to connect the community and reduce food & produce waste, and encourage sustainable practices.
WHAT IS CROP SWAP?
It is a wonderful welcoming monthly community gathering to share the abundance from our kitchens and gardens!
Been madly making chutney? Silver beet going crazy? Been collecting flower seeds? Got some foraged berries or a delicious cake to share?
Come along for a kōrero with our friendly community and enjoy free coffee, usually with a scone or muffin that someone has brought along. Everyone is welcome - with or without something to share.
You can find us upstairs at the Hataitai Bowling Club, 157 Hataitai Rd. We gather from 12pm with the event / swap part kicking off at 12:30pm SEE YOU THERE!
