Community Facilities

Here in Hataitai, we have lots of spaces available for all kinds of community projects. These spaces are managed by the Hataitai Community Recreation Trust and Hataitai Childcare Collective and Community House.

The Hataitai Centre (former Bowling Club) and Hataitai Community House are community-run spaces for everyone to use and enjoy.

You can hire and run your own event in these spaces, or get involved with the volunteer groups that run them!

Hataitai Centre

Located off Hataitai Road the Hataitai Centre (formerly the Hataitai Bowling Club).

It is a great venue for classes, meetings, workshops, and anniversaries and hosts the Hataitai Village Market. Our most popular space for community gatherings it offers plenty of space to share a meal or play a game of bowls on the green.

Menzshed

MENZSHED New Zealand is a registered charity that exists primarily for the mutual benefit, success, and support of member sheds and to facilitate public access to those sheds.

We are here to encourage, support, and provide good information to those interested and passionate about men’s sheds in New Zealand.

Community Garden

Located on the grounds of the Hataitai Centre, our community garden focuses on growing vegetables to share amongst the community.

Hataitai Community House - Community Room

Our Community House is the perfect place for community meetings and offers a warm and affordable option for community initiatives.

Perfect for playgroups and kids’ birthday parties the Playroom is full of fun activities.
