Get your streamers ready and prepare for the talco (festive powder)! At the Peruvian Community in Wellington, we are continuing our project "Conectando con mis raíces" (Connecting with my roots), and this time... It’s Carnival time!

We invite our Peruvian community, our New Zealand friends, and people of all nationalities to experience a morning full of color, tradition, and rhythm. No matter where you are from, at Carnival, we are all one big family!

What do we have planned?

Rhythm and Tradition: Live music and dance workshops to get everyone moving.

Culture for the Little Ones: Special activities for children to discover the magic of our heritage.

The Great Yunza (or Humisha): The most awaited moment! We will dance around our traditional tree filled with surprises.

Community Potluck: Let’s celebrate togetherness! Please bring a small plate or snack to share with everyone.
