We need a flexible all-round professional person to support the Hataitai Community Coordinator and manage the administrative activities of the Hataitai Community House and Hataitai Centre, both based near the Hataitai village. This is an up to 15 hour per week position - where the hours worked and location can be negotiated, although regular onsite work will be required, including occasional weekends and evening meetings

This position requires a self-managing person with initiative and excellent organisation skills. This position supports the Hataitai Community House Coordinator to manage the buildings of the Hataitai Community House and Hataitai Centre, including their maintenance. This role will have primary responsibility of managing bookings for the Hataitai Community House and Hataitai Centre.

You would be liaising with local families and businesses, and hirers of the Hataitai Centre and Community House, Community House tenants and cleaners. 

This position requires a person who is responsible, enjoys being part of a community and willing to fill-in for other members of staff when required to. You will be responsible for ensuring the buildings are clean and well-maintained, as well as working in conjunction with the Coordinator to hire out the facilities of each building. This position requires flexibility, as some support to hirers or building maintenance may be required on an ad-hoc basis. 

This role would support the Coordinator in running events for the local community, organising the community involvement in a nearby fruit and vegetables co-op, as well as generally helping to run the office of the Community House. 

Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable but not essential. Your honesty, reliability, sense of responsibility and empathy are important, along with your ability to develop effective relationships with the Hataitai Community. Skills in Google suite of software systems including Google calendar, and invoicing experience would be beneficial. 

All staff and members of the Community House are required to be fully vaccinated for Covid19.
