Perfect for playgroups and kids’ birthday parties the Playroom is full of fun activities.
With access to Waipapa Reserve just outside and lots of toys, we have several playgroups who use the Playroom weekly.

Playroom
Our Playroom seats up to 25 children and is on the ground floor of the Community House.
Facilities include:
Heat pump
Small kitchen
Toys and books
Change table
Access to the Waipapa Reserve Playrgound including the sandpit.
The Playroom is home to our variety of community playgroups.
FAQ
Can we have alcohol at our event?
Please coordinate with the Community House to have alcohol at your event.
Do you have a BBQ we can use?
No, we do not have BBQ facilities at the Community House.
Is the space fully fenced?
Yes, we have child-proof fences on all exits of the playroom and around the playground.
Can I use my own decorations?
Yes- but they must be removed after your event and put up without damaging our walls (no staples).
What toys are available for parties?
A selection of toys can be left out, mainly the kai, puzzles books, and family toys.
How late can I book the Playroom?
The Playroom can be booked between 6:00 am - 9:00 pm Monday - Sunday.
Do you have a sound system or PA?
We have a speaker that we can provide that you can connect to via Bluetooth. But no PA system is available for hire.
Is there accessible parking?
No* - We have one accessible park on Hataitai Rd, just down from the Hataitai Centre, and one in the Hataitai Village. But no accessible parking on Waipapa Rd.
Do we have access to the playground?
Yes - The playground is open to the public 24/7. We have a sandpit and toys too!
